Russian TV presenter who also doubles as a journalist and active politician, Ksenia Sobchak is the face of Samsung in Russia. The contract between this Russian politician is to promote the South Korean brand publicly and avoid been seen with other phone brands. Well, the TV star was seen during a TV interview with an iPhone X. In fact, she tried concealing the smartphone with a piece of paper but onlookers were smart enough to pick out the beautiful notch-designed Apple iPhone X. At first, she was seen holding the smartphone making the rear region seen. She might have gone away with that but the use of the phone (with the screen on) while not properly covering it let the cat out of the bag.
According to The Mirror, the South Korean firm didn’t take the contract breach on a light note, hence a lawsuit worth 1.6million US dollars equivalent of 108 million Russian rubles. No information regarding the cost of Samsung’s initial contract with her is known. But reports claim that the damages and repercussions of the contract breach weigh more than what Samsung paid the brand ambassador. There are also wide allegations that Ksenia, nicknamed Russian Paris Hilton, has used the iPhone product in other public appearances in Moscow and other TV shows. As a matter of fact, this isn’t the first time Samsung ambassadors have been caught using Apple mobile phones in public. A case occurred in 2013 where tennis player, David Ferrer tweeted about the Samsung Galaxy S4 from an iPhone. Another occurred with Adam Levine, a Maroon 5 singer.
